K-Development ProgramList Item 1
Kindergarten
The K-Development Program is designed to acclimate the youngest players to the game of soccer. Unified Legacy FC introduces kids to soccer in a relaxed and fun environment. We try to keep our Kindergarten players with teammates in their own grade level (and will attempt to accommodate friend requests to the extent possible) to encourage friends to play together and keep kids excited for soccer. The emphasis at this time is creating positive, fun environment with soccer training, while also learning the basics.
Teams in the K-Development Program typically practice once a week and compete in the NSA recreational league in the fall and spring. Their season will consist of 8 games, all played in the Northland at either Tiffany Hills Sports Complex or Mark L. McHenry Park. They play 3v3 with a size 3 ball.
Players will register and commit to the team on a season-by-season basis.

Jr AcademyList Item 2
U7-U10 Age Groups
After kindergarten, players can expect age-appropriate changes in the program.
Players will typically be assigned to teams by age group using the US Soccer Age Group matrix, which focuses on birth year as opposed to grade level. Additionally, Unified Legacy FC will start to match players to teams based on their level of skills development so trainings can be more customized to the needs of the team.
Player development is the primary emphasis. Players form friendships with the athletes that will ultimately be their teammates in the long-run while developing their skills in a structured and positive environment.
Jr Academy teams typically practice twice a week and compete in either the NSA recreational league or the Heartland recreational league in the fall and spring. Their season will consist of 8 games. Depending on the league selected, games will either be played exclusively in the northland, or some light travel could begin, but games are always within the KC metro area. Additionally, a 2-month winter indoor session is encouraged and the team has the option of adding a tournament as well.
Jr Academy Players will register and commit to the team on a season-by-season basis.
These teams will continue to grow in size, from 4v4 to 7v7. They will start with a size 3 ball and move up to a size 4 by U9.
